Cocktail Meatballs


1 pound ground beef
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup minced onion
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 cup beef/chicken stock or water
15 oz (BPA-free) can organic tomato sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon chili powder


Heat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix onion, garlic and spices in a bowl. Add ground beef and mix well. Shape into 1-inch meatballs. Bake 15 to 20 minutes.

For sauce: Meanwhile, combine stock, tomato sauce, honey, chili powder and worcestershire sauce in a pot. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and simmer until thickened. Pour over meatballs, or serve as a dipping sauce on the side.

Makes 3 dozen appetizers.
